I had the same issue with The Walking Dead and just ended up buying it on my Xbox. The game even detects the controller, because the menu in game changes to show "Press Start" or "Press A". I can even control the Steam overlay while in game using the controller. I know the controller works because it works in other games. I have tried setting compatibility mode before launching TheWolfAmongUs.exe, and I have tried all settings from WinXP to Win8. I have tried multiple versions of this dll. I have tried copying the dinput8.dll file to the same directory as TheWolfAmongUs.exe. I have an Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter and controller, a WIRED Xbox 360 Controller, and a PS3 controller. Can you please tell me what WIRELESS controllers are supported for this game and work with Windows 8.1? I'm ready to buy something that will work.
